Upcoming Events for 2008
The Fort William Mountain Festival takes place this year from Friday the 15th to Saturday 23rd of February. This outdoor themed sports and cultural event is sure to make your stay in the area an exciting time. Check it out at www.mountainfestival.co.uk/

Last years Mountain Bike World Cup was a resounding success for Ben Nevis and Fort William. This year see's the return of the event taking place from Saturday the 7th until Monday the 9th of June. Check out the event and all other Nevis Range events for this year at www.nevisrange.co.uk/winter/
This years Glenfinnan Gathering takes place on Saturday the 16th of August. This is one gathering not to be missed.

Visitor Attractions
Ardnamurchan Lighthouse is the most westerly point on the British Isles mainland. Well worth a visit - climb to the top for the fantastic views!

Highlandcruises – The Eagle Watch heads out from both Glenfinnan and Acharacle along Loch Shiel and is a wildlife cruise not to be missed.
Resipole Studios - An art studio with regular changes to its displays.
Castle Tioram - A visit to this lovely ruined castle is only 5 minutes' drive away or an enjoyable walk.
Silver Sands of Morar – a trip to the silver sands of Morar is always worthwhile with some of the whitest sand you will see on the British Isles - setting for the film Local Hero.
Glencoe Folk Museum – Local history, domestic, agricultural, military, Jacobite, slate in restored heather thatched buildings

Day trips
In an hour from Acharacle you can be on the Isle of Mull, Glencoe, Fort William and Ben Nevis, Mallaig and the boat to Skye. The area offers an abundance of activities and is an excellent place to locate yourself away from the hussle and bustle of town life. Settle down to a relaxing evening in old world Scotland the way it was meant to be.
